Steampunks at the industrial museum

Imagine a world, rather like Victorian England, but where perhaps the skies are filled with dirigibles, or other flying machines, and submarines roam the world’s oceans.  Steampunk fiction places its characters and stories in a time rather like that and steampunks enjoy art, fashion and literature arising from that inspiration.

Southampton Camera Club photographers were invited to join some steampunks from local groups on their visit to Bursledon Brickworks.  (The Brickworks are an industrial museum, based at a brickworks that dates back to the end of the 19th century, so very much aligned to the steampunk theme.)

The steampunks were, as expected, splendidly costumed, and very willing subjects for us.
