About Southampton
Camera Club:
founded in 1896
Although
Southampton Camera Club is over 100 years old with an impressive
history, it is much more concerned with today's challenges.
It
is one of the leading clubs in southern England, providing
a mixed programme of competitions and lectures, and organising
a well established International Exhibition of Photography.
Because of its national status, it is able to attract prominent
judges and lecturers from all parts of the country.
The
club welcomes complete beginners and experienced photographers
from all age groups. It has a very catholic approach to photographic
styles and techniques, and crucially, aims to stimulate and
encourage members of all abilities to fulfil their photographic
potential.
Meetings
are held on Monday evenings throughout the year at Copythorne
Parish Hall on the edge of the New Forest, Hampshire, England
If
photography is your passion, or you think it could be, we
will be very pleased to see you.
