| Looking at
my earlier portfolio on the SCC website I realise it has been
there a while. My Pentax Z1 film SLR is now largely neglected
as I moved to digital capture at the end of 2005 with a *ist DS
2 (silly name, but not a bad camera). I have recently replaced
this with a new Pentax K10D that I am still learning how to use
in anger.
This selection of pictures has been taken
in the last 18 months. “Against the Odds”, “Golden
Jubilee” and “Middlemarch” are images of New
Zealand while “Its good for you”, “Last One
In” and “Wrecked” were taken around the Dingle
Peninsula. “The Buoy’ was taken from the ferry to
Harris in the Western Isles and “Best of British”
was taken at a Triumph day arranged by the Ace Café in
London.
I enjoy trying to use unusual camera angles and selective framing
to create pictures out of everyday scenes. Most of my pictures
are taken on holiday. Images on page 3 & 4 were taken in various
parts of Greece, a country that I love and keep returning to.
