“Little did I realise that modelling for a friends portfolio on a sunny sunday afternoon in 2004 would lead to such a commitment. I became hungry for technical knowledge of how to gain inspiring images. I enrolled at night school and acquired new techniques through experimentation.

I particularly like Event photography, which combines action and quite often glamour but more importantly, my favourite subject people. This is closely followed by Fine Art landscape prints, which I like to create on canvas.

In the summer of 2005 I launched “aphoto” embarking on commissions from Southampton Tourist Board and Southampton and Solent Universities. I covered events such as “The International Festival of The Sea” Battle of Trafalgar 2005, for which I was press accredited. This lead to my first exhibition of landscape prints, on canvas, in Jan 2006.

I admire the diversity and enthusiasm of the Southampton Camera Club members who produce some really amazing images and gain inspiration from the works of Bill Brandt, Lord Lichfield and Tom Mackie. I do not have a preference in which medium I practice, and dream of one day owning a Hassleblad XPANII. and the freedom to experiment my passion with a vengeance.
