“My photography began underground in the 1970’s when I was caver. Soon after I discovered the world above ground and became hooked on landscape photography. I love photographing the British Landscape and am especially drawn to the ever changing light that these beautiful islands offer. I have a minimal approach to photography and am a great believer in the philosophy that “Less is more”.

About half my creative output is in painting and I love painting empty landscapes. Very similar in fact to my photography. For many years I worked in colour slides and Cibachrome/Ilfochrome colour prints. I gained my Fellowship of the Royal Photographic Society in 1997 with a panel of Cibachrome colour prints depicting atmospheric mountain landscapes.

Fairly recently I gave up my darkroom work for digital. After the initial steep learning curve I discovered that digital imaging opened up doors of endless creative opportunities. I hope you enjoy my portfolio. I have tried to provide a varied mix of creative and landscape images.
